Trofie with tuna ragout and beans

Ingredients for 4 persons

• 400g of fresh trofie pasta
• 200g of tuna in olive oil
• 150g of canned red beans
• 1 onion
• thyme, marjoram
• Extra Virgin Olive Oil
• salt

Preparation

Salt the water when it reaches the boiling point, peel and slice the onion and fry them in a pan with a little olive oil for 2-3 minutes on very low fire, stirring often.
Add the drained tuna smashed with a fork.
Finally add the beans, which were also well drained, into in a strainer after washing them under tap water.
Prepare a chopped mixture composed by the leaves of thyme and marjoram. Drain the trofie when they are "al dente". Cook them in the pan with the sauce of tuna and beans for two minutes. Sparkling with the chopped fresh herbs and serve.

Notes

You can add both fresh or dried herbs, in the latter case, it is advisable to add them some instant to sauce of cooking in order to make them softe.
